K1 MET – Metallurgical Competence Centre
The K1-MET Centre researches the fields of resources and recycling, metallurgical core processes, simulation tools and decarbonisation. One of the main objectives is to achieve decarbonisation of steelmaking through hydrogen-based steel production, energy efficiency and reduction of the specific CO2 emissions.
MCL – Materials Center Leoben
MCL specialises in materials, their production and machining processes and innovative applications. The focus is on steel and various metals and non-metals, tools and microelectronics.
Gießerei-Institut conducts application-oriented research on process- and material-specific topics. The range of services includes material testing and characterisation, the simulation of casting processes, assessment of casting quality and initial sample testing.
PCCL – Polymer Competence Center Leoben
