Town-Partnerships connect new economic contacts with local industries. On August 29th, 1994 the partnership between Xuzhou (spell: Sütscho) People's Republic of China was formally celebrated.

Due to the aspiring economy Xuzhou is one of the five largest cities in the Lung Lan Economy Zone and forms the link between the European and Asian area.
The town is located in the centre of the coal mining and textile industry, construction machinery and electricity generation.

Xuzhou, with a population of 8.3 million people is located in the northwest of the province Jiangsu.
As school town Xuzhou houses over 100 Science Research Institutes, dozens of engineering schools and colleges, an excellent mining university, an Institute of Motor Development-, Mechanical Engineering-, and Recycling.

Thousands of Years have left numerous sights, e.g. the stone monument of the Han Dynasty, stone sculptures of the six Nanjing Dynasties, the Xuzhou Gardens, which are called the 3 treasures of Jiangsu.
1984 a sensational discovery was made - more than 4,000 terracotta soldiers of the Han dynasty, 40 cm high.
